题目:Light Induced Processes in Organic/Inorganic Composites

 

Abstract: There have been many developments to fabricate ultrathin polymeric films, but less is known about the interaction of these films with inorganic particles and support. I will discuss 3 different systems, where the interaction is most important for the function of the film in response to processes on the support.

1. Inserting metallic nanoparticles into a polymeric capsule shell one can locally heat the shell and thus release a drug. This can be used for local drug delivery to follow cellular functions. It can also lead to local cell destruction, if the particles photocatalytically produces reactive oxygen. (R. Palakar, A. G. Skirtach, O. Kreft, M. Bedard, M. Garstka, K. Gould, H. Möhwald, G. B. 2. In cooperation with G. Zhang, Jilin University, a nanoplasmonic surface with a Ag film deposited is designed that is optically transparent and that can be excited by visible light. Field enhancement can lead to enhanced optical or Raman spectroscopic sensing. We introduce a new technique, skiving, to prepare 1D, 2D and 3D gaps with nm precision and demonstrate their enhanced optical properties. (Z. Zhou, Z. Y. Zhao, Y. Yu, B. Ai, H. Möhwald, R. C. 3. A TiO2 support excited by UV light, sonochemically treated also by visible light, ejects charge carriers, that can be converted into protons in an aqueous or polyelectrolyte environment. The resulting pH change can lead to a change in thickness and elasticity of the polymeric film. This can cause changes in cell growth and via light cells can be guided on a surface. (S. A. 专家简介:1974年,哥廷根马普生物物理所,物理学博士;1981-1987年,慕尼黑工业大学,实验物理学(生物物理学) 副教授;1987-1993年,美因兹大学,物理化学教授;1993-2014年,德国马普胶体与界面科学研究所,创建人之一、首任所长;

曾获德国胶体学会、法国科技部、日本胶体学会、欧洲胶体与界面学会、美国化学会等机构授奖。曾任欧洲胶体与界面科学学会主席、德国胶体科学学会主席、德国洪堡基金会项目会议评审专家。受聘宾夕法尼亚大学、以色列魏兹曼研究所、中科院化学所、中科院过程所、浙江大学、复旦大学、苏州大学、东南大学、电子科技大学、哈工大客座教授。

现任欧洲科学院院士、奥地利科学院外籍院士、美国化学会ACS Nano期刊副主编等。已在ScienceNat. Chem.J. Am. Chem. Soc.Angew. Chem.Adv. Mater.Phys. Rev. Lett.等期刊发表化学、晶体、材料、物理、生命、药学等领域的学术论文>1000篇;被引用>49000次,H-因子106,是世界上论文他引率最高的科学家之一。
